Hannover – Data for ambitious detached house redevelopment analysed

As part of Concerto, findings are now available for several detached houses, with one taken as an example. Energy redevelopment took place in 2008. As a result, consumption and cost data for three years has already been analysed. It was the most ambitious project of all detached and semi-detached houses subsidised. Due to the redevelopment (including fitting a comfort ventilation system) the energy end-demand dropped by 85%. Therefore, the house is 45% better than specified for new houses in Germany. The house's gas bill is only about €55 per month. The investment costs amount to €118,500 (€740/m²). Some 22% of these costs were contributed by Concerto, domestic and local subsidies.
