The Municipal Heating Company Koszalin Ltd. (Polish name - Miejska Energetyka Cieplna Spółka z o.o. w Koszalinie) is an energy company, conducting licensed activity in the field of production, transfer and distribution of heat energy.
In 2005 the Company was asked by the City of Koszalin to participate, as a subcontractor, to the Concerto/act 2 project. The suitable agreement was concluded between The Commune and Town of Koszalin and The Municipal Heating Company Ltd (MHC) at the beginning of 2006.
As the participant of act 2 project MHC in Koszalin was involved and realized the following activities:
- perform an analysis of the local challenges and priorities with the use of pure fuels, renewable sources of energy and sustained regeneration, as well as development of urban areas, including the following:
- research into the market of biomass with profitable study concerning biomass burning, in the sources of the Company
- preparation of construction design of on installation for joint burning of biomass
- conduct a research into the heating industry market in Koszalin and the nearby localities
MHC in Koszalin dealt also, together with the Technical University, with seminars run for partners of "Concerto/act2" project, as well as cycle of trainings provided to students and residents of Koszalin.
