Malmö
The City of Malmö is a city in southern Sweden that has experienced considerable growth since the opening of the Öresund fixed link to Copenhagen and Denmark. New construction has increased considerably in recent years. The City of Malmö has made a commitment to make sustainable development a priority to the highest extent possible.
Malmö involvement within act2 project
The City of Malmö's role in the act2 project was to follow the developments in Hannover and Nantes and to draw parallels to the development in Malmö. In addition Malmö provided input through experience gained through the processes in the other partner cities of act2. This covered construction issues, e.g. the use of energy efficient measures, and the implementation of renewable energy systems in the city.
