Nantes
4 partners are collaborating in Nantes: Nantes Métropole Urban Community (the local coordinator), the City of Nantes, SAMOA (the Ile de Nantes district developer) and ADEME (the national agency for the environment and the energy control). They closely collaborate with various building developers and scientific organisms.
act2 as a factor of improvements and new achievements for Nantes Métropole area
act2 project in Nantes was designed in 2003 as an integrated approach to enrich the local energy policy stated in the local Climate and Energy action plans led by Nantes Métropole Urban Community.
It also aims at improving practices of a complete chain of actors involved in the construction process: from decision makers to citizens, passing by building companies.
In this respect, activities to be implemented focus on three main areas:
1 - Demonstration
80,000 m² of eco-buildings within the Ile de Nantes district and developments in the field of renewable energy systems as well as district heating.

partnerships involving scientific organisations to explore energy-efficient planning and evaluate local energy measures from both technical and socio-economic points of view.
