Concerto – act2 project

action of cities to mainstream energy efficient building and renewable energy systems across Europe.

act2 is a 7-year long energy-related project (2006-2012) supported by the European Commission. It is part of the Concerto Initiative supervised by the DG Energy and Transport within the 6th Framework Research Programme.

Hannover and Nantes, as demonstration communities, in association with Koszalin, Malmö and Newcastle collaborate to apply at a district scale integrated concepts of energy provision, combining uses of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency technologies, rational energy use and innovative energy management (Read more about act2).
